Take a Vacation!

Consider this -

"More than forty percent of American workers who received paid time off did not take all of their allotted time last year, despite the obvious personal benefits, according to “An Assessment of Paid Time Off in the U.S.” commissioned by the U.S. Travel Association, a trade group, and completed by Oxford Economics."

I love the beach!  Yet, it occurred to me that in 2015, I hadn't been to the beach.  Why is that?

I was too busy!

Does that resonate with you?  Let's make a commitment to ourselves and take a vacation this year.  Make it big or small - a weekend excursion to the countryside or a week exploring the coast of Italy, it is important to unplug from the day to day and experience something new.  What's new could simply be comfort and space for yourself that gets you out of the routine of work.  Whether that's getting out of the office or leaving the kids with the inlaws, a vacation is about recharging and refreshing yourself.  Data proves this, such as these articles on Psychology Today and Forbes, with vacations linked not only to increased wellness and health but also productivity.

So get that vacation planner out and make it happen!
