It comes down to the Basics

Living a full life is about being crystal clear on what you want and not being afraid to do what it takes to realistically get there.  Now that the New Year is here, resolutions and goals are in full swing.  New Year, New You!  In the frenzy of coming down from the Holidays and anticipating your desire for change in 2016, here's a friendly reminder to keep it to the Basics.  

Practice self-care, which is self-love, so you can keep your batteries charged.  So you can move through obstacles while having the momentum to keep going, facing your odds.  Being ready for the day to day while getting the most out of this life starts with how you live your life for you.  Take the time to be still.  Take the time to eat enough of the right foods.  Take the time to drink enough water.  Take the time to exercise some each day.  Most importantly, take the time to relax and enjoy yourself.  Reduce exposure to screens and stress so you can get some quality sleep. 

Once you show love for yourself, you are in a place to help and love others.  This reflects excellence in everything you do.  If you bring it back to the basics, you may find what is driving your need for resolutions is simply a desire for more time and care for you.
